This is not about me, its about you, but just so you know who I am-

I’ve spent most of my life rebuilding - physically, emotionally, and mentally. And if I’ve learned anything, it’s that real change doesn’t come from short-term willpower. It comes from structure, honesty, and learning how to take ownership without burning out.

At 16, I left home and joined the military. I served in Afghanistan, where I learned what it really means to carry responsibility, physically, emotionally, and mentally. After leaving the forces, life didn’t get easier. Like many people, I carried things I didn’t talk about: grief, trauma, burnout, and behaviours I didn’t yet understand.

I lost the man who raised me , when I was seven. I learned through my peers behaviours to bottle it up. I worked long hours in security while studying part-time through Open University. I qualified as a personal trainer, and through fitness, I found structure, a tool that helped me regain control.

But that was just one layer of change.

Underneath, I was still carrying emotional weight , years of identity loss, disordered eating, and the mental impact of constantly trying to hold it all together.

Through years of effort , and setbacks , I overcame obesity and addiction, rebuilt my mindset, and eventually co-founded Calibre Fitness, a successful independent gym now helping hundreds of others. I’ve had two major surgeries to remove the physical reminders of who I used to be. But the real transformation has always been internal.

I spent years going to therapy, reading, researching, looking for something outside of me to create change. What I eventually realised was that the only thing that truly works long-term is internal. Change comes when you learn to create internal validation, not wait for external permission.

That is what led me to create DGB Coaching and The Rebuild Method. I came to understand that real growth starts when you take full responsibility for your actions, habits and choices. There is so much noise out there about mindset, behaviour and self improvement, but very little guidance that is honest, practical and personal. What most people need is not more information. They need structure, support and someone who has walked the path and come out the other side.

It’s not therapy.

It’s a proactive approach to change.

It’s structured coaching for people who are stuck in survival mode. People carrying more than others realise. People who’ve tried everything , but haven’t had the kind of support that works from the inside out.
