Funding Support

Can I get help with the cost of the programme?

For some people, yes.

If you are employed, self-employed, a veteran, or supported by a charity or organisation, there may be ways to fund your place on The Rebuild Method. These routes are not guaranteed and must be explored individually, but others have successfully used external support to access coaching.

Access to Work (Government Support)

If you are currently in paid employment, self-employed, or about to begin work — and you live with a physical or mental health condition that makes it harder to do your job — you may be eligible for help through Access to Work.

This is a government grant offered by the Department for Work and Pensions. It is designed to support people with health-related barriers to work, and in many cases, this includes behavioural or mental wellbeing support.

You might qualify if any of the following apply:

• You are managing burnout, anxiety or trauma-related habits

• You struggle with structure, confidence or consistency at work

• You are navigating emotional eating, disordered patterns or GLP-1 use

• You have returned to work after illness or time off and need structured support

How to apply

1. Visit gov.uk/access-to-work

2. Complete the online form (around 10–15 minutes)

3. You will be contacted by a DWP adviser

4. You can explain that you are applying to work with:

Daniel Best – DGB Coaching

Trauma-aware behaviour and mindset support

5. I can provide a letter or overview if requested to support your application

If approved, Access to Work may cover the full programme or reimburse you directly. Decisions are made case by case.

Support for Veterans and Armed Forces Personnel

If you are currently serving or have served in the military, or are connected to someone who has, several organisations may be able to support access to this kind of work:

• Help for Heroes

• Royal British Legion

• Combat Stress

• Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust

These organisations offer health and wellbeing support, including services that help with identity, emotional regulation, and long-term recovery. I am happy to support applications or supply any necessary documentation.

Employer and HR-Supported Options

Some employers offer support through discretionary funds, occupational health budgets or workplace wellbeing schemes. This is particularly relevant for anyone:

• Returning to work after leave or illness

• Managing stress or burnout

• Working in a high-pressure or frontline role

• Rebuilding after identity loss, life disruption or trauma

If you are employed, you may wish to contact your HR or Occupational Health department and ask whether personal development or coaching support could be funded.

A letter or programme overview can be provided if needed.

Charities and Other Support Routes

A number of charities and services may help you explore additional options:

• Turn2Us – National charity offering financial support guidance

• NHS Trusts – Some provide non-clinical wellbeing support

• Local Authorities or Social Prescribing Teams

• Eating Disorder and Recovery Charities

• Return to Work or Disability Support Schemes

This may include discretionary funding, wellbeing grants, or referral pathways. Every organisation is different — so it is worth asking the question.

Important Notes

• All applications are made independently

• There is no guaranteed funding available

• I can support with documentation if required

• Every person receives the same structure and commitment, regardless of payment route
